Q&A with Sofia Ocampo
What is your signature style?
Vibrant designs, exceptional planning, and genuine connections.
How do you describe your creative approach?
Our creative approach is warm, thoughtful, inclusive, and deeply rooted in making our clients feel seen, heard, and valued.
Where do you search for new inspiration?
Travel, restaurants, art, interior design, and fashion.
What do you recommend investing most in?
Guest experience and the things most important to YOU! If you love music, let's hire the best band; if you are a foodie, let's invest in amazing food, etc. It's a conversation we enjoy having with clients immensely, as it allows us to tailor our approach to each event.
Team big or small: What type of events do you prefer?
We love all types of events, but we say our sweet spot is around 75-120 people.
How far in advance should people hire a planner?
We have been hired anywhere from 2-18 months in advance, but 9-12 months is ideal.
Best advice for a bride-to-be?
Have fun, let go of expectations and make sure the day is a reflection of the two of you as a couple.
What do you wish more people understood about what you do?
What we do is so complex, and we pour our heart and soul into each of our clients. With the right vendor team and trust from the client, we can truly make magic!
If you weren’t a planner, what would you be?
A diplomat or a therapist, both of which play a big part in planning as it is.
