A Tented Garden Wedding Blending California Cool with Southern Hospitality
An Estate Celebration in Tennessee Designed by Wright & Co.

A Soft, Southern Welcome With a West Coast Heart
Set on a private estate in Tennessee, A + M’s wedding was a study in aesthetic duality: equal parts breezy California soul and timeless Southern charm. Designed by Wright & Co. and captured by Abigail Lewis and Peyton Byford, the celebration honored the couple’s roots on both coasts — welcoming their West Coast guests with warmth, intention, and layered design.
The overall experience was grounded in the feel of a tented garden party — one that felt casual yet styled, refined without fuss. The couple’s style came through in every detail, from patterned linens to sculptural lighting to playful, custom signage.

The Tent as Canvas: Soft Draping, Open Air, and Design That Breathes
The tent, constructed by Chattanooga Tent, became a canvas for the design team’s vision: layered textures, curated patterns, and a neutral palette warmed by candlelight. Sheer draping from Quest Events Nashville softened the structure’s lines, while greenery and bespoke light fixtures brought height and softness to the interior.
At the center of it all: thoughtful furniture choices, including upholstered dining chairs and sculptural lounges by Mayker Events, whose pieces contributed to the space's relaxed, lived-in feel.

Curated Lounge and Dining Furniture That Shaped the Guest Experience
The team at Mayker, alongside WestEra Rentals and Tailored Event Rentals, curated pieces that felt intentional and comfortable. Lounge moments scattered throughout the grounds encouraged guests to sit, stay, and connect — a nod to both California’s casual ease and the South’s trademark hospitality.
From boucle club chairs to the soft blue velvet sofa and woven accents, each vignette carried the color story and style language forward. Even the bar was surrounded with layered seating that blurred the line between indoor comfort and outdoor charm.

Pattern Play and Organic Details: A Tablescape That Felt Personal and Polished
Dining took place under a canopy of oversized pendant lights and cascading greenery. Long wooden tables ran the length of the tent, layered with Stradley Davidson and Nuage Designs linens that balanced playful pattern with subtle sophistication.
Every detail was considered: ceramic dinnerware, hand-tied napkins, and custom day-of paper goods by One Creative Factory. Even the menu design — puzzle-shaped and whimsically elegant — gave guests something to talk about between courses.

Florals, Lighting, and Fabrication as Storytelling
Florals by Katie Wachowiak were wild and sculptural — full of movement and contrast. Rather than overly polished centerpieces, the arrangements felt like they belonged to the landscape: artful, organic, and quietly lush.
Lighting by White Door Event did what good lighting should — it elevated without overpowering. From natural daylight filtered through linen to candlelit dinner and string-lit dancing, every transition felt considered.
Custom fabrication details, from textured bars to soft-scalloped umbrellas, tied the entire design together with subtle whimsy.

Whimsical Touches With Meaning
There was no shortage of personal touches — but none felt forced. A gelato cart from Gelatano Gelato was a guest favorite, as was the custom pattern play seen across textiles and paper goods. Every corner was both photogenic and functional, designed to welcome guests and reflect A + M’s creative, grounded style.
A Wedding Built Around Comfort, Beauty, and the Joy of Gathering
From the layout of the tent to the way guests moved through each space, this wedding was all about intention — full of thoughtful pieces layered together to create comfort and connection.
We loved playing a role in shaping that experience. Collaborating with a team like this, where every detail has purpose? That’s exactly the kind of work we’re proud to be part of.
